Sound and Vibration Inspection ONO SOKKI
Vibration and sound Inspection is the practice of listening to noises and vibrations produced by mechanical systems, machinery, and structures in order to assess how well they are working. Leading suppliers of software and instrumentation for inspection include Japanese companies Ono Sokki. Their offerings range from straightforward vibration analyzers and sound level meters to sophisticated computer-based measurement systems that may offer comprehensive data on the functionality and condition of a machine. By using Ono Sokki’s solutions, engineers and technicians can identify possible issues earlier, prevent unplanned downtime, increase the lifespan of their equipment, and enhance the productivity of their operations as a whole.
With its ability to monitor and show vibrations, the Vibration Comparator offers a quick and easy approach to evaluate the condition of machinery. The Sound and Vibration Analyzer, on the other hand, is a more sophisticated device that has the ability to analyze sound and vibration data and offer comprehensive information on the functioning of mechanical systems and machinery. Both devices are made with ease of use in mind and provide precise measurements that are suitable for usage in a variety of industrial and laboratory environments. Using the technology from Ono Sokki, engineers and technicians can quickly and easily identify issues, enhance the performance of their systems, and ensure that their equipment functions properly and efficiently.

Vibration ComparatorThe VC-2200/3200 is a Vibration comparator which is used for maintenance and constantmonitoring of production facilities with high accuracy, high function, and low cost in a single unit. The VC-2200/3200 Vibration Comparator utilizes high-speed calculation by employinga digital signal processor (DSP) in DIN size. Newly installed TEDS function enables high performance calculation, time reduction, and less human errors in setup.
From the output signal of an accelerometer, the VC-2200/3200 simultaneously judges two different frequencies with one unit. Besides, the data is easily managed with a PC.The VC-2200/3200 has multiple roles including detection, judgment, and data management.
The VC-2200/3200 features checking of “visual and auditory”. It has function of checking the vibrationwith sound by connecting headphones as well as checking the vibration with view by on-screen numerical displays and bar graphs.
The “comparator gate input function” is also equipped which can extract only the necessary vibrationphenomenon by controlling the timing signals from a PLC. All of these functions are packed into a compact DIN size (96mm X 96mm).
Since the VC-3200 has digital filters, measurement modes more than the VC-2200, it works effectively in measurement that requires detailed judgment condition settings. The CF-4700 FFT comparator is a pass/fail judgment machine used on production lines that is highly effective in accurate quality inspection by analyzing sound or vibration from products. As being incorporated our accumulated FFT technology over the years, the CF-4700 enables pass/fail judgment by extracting the amount of fluctuation of signal size focusing on a specific frequency band.
The CF-4700 comparator has newly adopted the Amplitude Modulation Component Extraction Function, besides inheriting the frequency level- or waveform shape-based judgment functions from the existing CF-4500 FFT model. The new function enables judgment on the basis of the amount of periodical fluctuation of extracted sounds or vibrations. This function is effective for making judgments on fuzzy creaks or chattering sound by a motor-driven device in operation. Moreover, two functions which are included in the Amplitude Modulation Component Extraction Function enable measurements such as ‘monitoring of bearing vibrations’ (by using the band pass filter and envelope functions), as well as ‘auditory inspections of vibrations through headphones’ (by using the monitor function which amplifies inaudible vibrations to audible sounds).
